Then I realized I was somebody. ~ Lily Tomlin
Let’s face it. Government today, in many ways, is broken. We have government of the special interests, by the special interests, and for the special interests. The current administration in the Idaho Governor’s office is out of touch with the people. To demand that the Idaho Legislature raise taxes for roads during the worst recession in history since the Great Depression was an insult to the people of the great State of Idaho. By vetoing appropriations bills the Governor was able to hold the Legislature hostage at a cost to taxpayers of $30,000 a day, all in the name of raising taxes. How will you be better off with higher taxes? My sincere thanks and congratulations go out to all of the Idaho Legislators who stood firmly against the Governor’s demands. | ![]() |
The people of Idaho are dissatisfied with the current political system that serves elite special interests rather than the taxpayers. If you are seeking a straight-talking, experienced, reform-minded candidate with common sense, who will truly listen to you, the people, and challenge the status quo, I hope you will consider supporting me in the 2010 Republican gubernatorial primary election. I have not been bought and paid for by special interest groups either here in Idaho or in Washington DC. It’s time to return control of the state back to the people. | |
